Lincoln Helps Clients Secure Funding through Grants & Stimulus Moneys!

Lincoln Helps clients Secure Funding through Grants & Stimulus Money!

In one more way that demonstrates Lincoln Computer Services’ dedication to offering optimal customer service, they have joined forces with IM Grants (a service through their affiliate, Ingram Micro) that allows Lincoln to help ensure their public sector customers maximize the funding that is available to support their technology initiatives.

With economic conditions reeking havoc on organizations’ plans to upgrade or overhaul their current IT environment, it is important to note that relief does exist. Most of this relief comes in the form of grants and/or stimulus funding, and, although available, locating the moneys, determining eligibility and ultimately securing the funds can monopolize hours, or perhaps days from your workweek!

IM Grants allows Lincoln to locate moneys that are relevant to their public sector customers’ needs. The federal government provides approximately $400 billion in grants each year for a wide range of purposes, and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (A.R.R.A.) will add about $380 billion to those annual funding amounts between 2009 and 2011. Grants fund a variety of technology projects across all public sector vertical markets, such as public safety, healthcare, municipal, and education. Projects that are most likely to be funded are those that address particular need for the customer, like communication or security gaps, low student achievement scores, technology-poor healthcare environments, etc. The average technology friendly federal grant is in the range of $10,000 - $500,000 and funds a project for 18 months.

Lincoln, boasting over two dozen affiliates (including: IBM, Symantec, Barracuda, Dell, HP, and more) is in a leading position to assist their existing and potential clients in the public sector. Their philosophy of customer service has always included “partnering” so that a project is seen through to completion. Public sector grants fund projects not products, so their needs to be a clear vision of how to best approach and achieve the grant’s objectives, including if and how much technology are appropriate to make the project a reality.

The variety of affiliates and related products allows Lincoln to provide public sector customers with the applications and solutions necessary to achieve particular objectives.
